A mural on the windows of the Park at 14th nightclub in Washington, D.C. June 8, 2020.
During the quarantine, I walked everyday around Washington, DC. These walks helped me let go of whatever downs on me as I struggled to navigate my life and emotions through a hard time during the pandemic. When George Floyd protests roamed the streets of the city, many murals were created to honour the memory of the lost loved ones and in solidarity with Black Lives Matter. Since sunflowers are my favourite, I saw this mural of Breonna Tylor and thought it is just beautiful.
